Melissa,

I was going through the earlier posts to have a discussion with Leigh, and
reading them again knowing now how you were approaching the argument (which
was established a little further on). I understand what you were getting at.

I still stand by my belief that we need to be fair, but I see that you're
saying when someone is upset and trying to make sense of what happened to
them is a different situation. You weren't trying to say that when we're
upset we should be able to discriminate, I think you were saying that when
we're upset is not when we use the most specific language and so isn't the
time to get picky about it. I can agree with that, and since that isn't the
point of view I was commenting from it's easy to see where our lines
crossed.

I'm sorry for my part that I didn't catch on sooner.
