Well, just to clarify this, I view the survey just as a tool, so we
shouldn't confuse it with a goal in itself. What I would like to get
to know is what are the activities that we should invest our efforts
on to get the biggest benefit. Maybe those activities would be to
mentor high-school girls, maybe to fight sexist jokes aggressively,
maybe appearing in TV and newspaper, maybe just coding... dunno. The
Pareto Law says that we should invest our efforts in the 20% of the
causes that will bring us 80% of the benefits. What I would like to do
is to find out those activities and decide on a strategical plan
towards them. A survey would just be a way to sort them by priority
with some objective method.
